7 days in Northern Britain

Day one, leave London and head to Oxford. Park outside Oxford and take the Park and Ride into the city. Wander down The High, look into a few colleges, see the university buildings. Then on into the Cotswolds for the night. Remember driving, particularly off motorways, in Britain is not quick - do not expect to average more than 30 miles per hour off motorways, and in rural areas of Wales this will be lower still

The next day you can wander round the Cotswold villages, then head across the Brecon Beacons in Wales to St David's for the second night.

From St David's and its cathedral you then follow the Pembrokeshire coast north the next morning to Snowdonia for your third night. On day four follow the North Wales coast to Chester. After Chester take the Motorway north to the Lake District for the fourth night
