West Country of England is Cornwall and Devon
down in the far south west of Great Britain, the climate is milder, spring
comes earlier, and summer lingers longer. We have a dozen palm trees growing
in our own garden in Cornwall as a testament to the mild winters.
There is more to the West Country than sitting on a sandy beach building sand castles. The South West Way is a coastal walk, a long distance footpath, that is a public right of way, enables you to walk anywhere on the miles of wonderful coast all the way round Devon and Cornwall Then there are the fishing villages like Polperro or Padstow, the stark beauty of Dartmoor and Exmoor, the stunning National Trust house on St Michael's Mount. You can come to Devon or Cornwall any time of the year. I know, I live here Click on the button on the map below to in depth information on Cornwall or Devon |
